Holly Fair - introduction
For further information on the Holly Fair or to be notified of dates for future Holly Fairs email info@hollyfair.co.uk |
STOP PRESS - All the stalls available are now taken (see Stallholders page). Do come and join us and buy some of the fantastic goods on offer! This year the Holly Fair, a craft fair organised by Winchester Soroptimists, will be held on Saturday 24th October 2009 from 10.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. at St Swithun’s School, Winchester (on the Alresford Road, see map). The Holly Fair provides a chance to stock up with interesting and imaginative presents ready for Christmas or birthdays, or maybe just to treat yourself. We hope to have 30 or so craft and trade stalls selling a variety of items, so keep an eye on the stallholders' page to see some of those who have booked. Goods available in previous years have included jewellery, bags, photographs, glass and china, topiary, greeting cards, gift wraps, Christmas decorations, candles, chocolates and clothing. The Soroptimists also run a fundraising tombola. WOW bags, which are sold to support the Wonders of Wenceslau Project (as featured in the Soroptimist's recent fundraising Fashion Show) will also be available. Refreshments including light lunches will be available at the fair and there is ample free car parking space. |
The Soroptimists organise the Holly Fair as a fundraising event in aid of charity. In 2009, the funds raised will go towards the Jumbulance Trust and other Soroptimist charities. The Winchester Soroptimists are part of Soroptimist International, a worldwide organisation for professional women. Soroptimists organise fundraising, practical and lobbying activities that advance human rights and the status of women. They also meet regularly to enjoy social events and talks by speakers. |
